Dear Friends of our Blessed Mother
We all know that living out the Gospel in the world flourishes when supported by constant prayer. The Apostles themselves asked Jesus: "Lord, Teach us to pray." (Luke 11:1)
St. John Paul II on the Holy Rosary
"The rosary is my favorite prayer. A marvelous prayer! Marvelous in its simplicity and its depth. It is the wondrous presence of the Mother of God in the mystery of Christ and the Church. Our hearts can embrace in the decades of the Rosary all the events that make up the lives in individuals, families, nations, the Church, and all mankind. Thus the simple prayer of the Rosary marks the rhythm of human life."
"Saint Padre Pio felt called to build a Church dedicated to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary in Pompei."
"Pope Paul VI clearly pointed out that the Rosary is a contemplative prayer. Without contemplation, the Rosary is a body without a soul, and its recitation runs the risk of becoming a mechanical repetition of formulas, in violation of the admonition of Christ."
Saint Louis-Marie Grignon de Montfort once said, "In praying the Rosary, we are being conformed to Christ. We entrust ourselves in a special way to the maternal care of the Blessed Virgin. She who is both the mother of Christ and a member of the Church, indeed her "pre-eminent and altogether singular member" is at the same time the "Mother of the Church".
"Never as in the Rosary do the life of Jesus and that of Mary appear so deeply joined. Mary lives only in Christ and for Christ!"
“Never will anyone who says his Rosary every day be led astray. This is a statement that I would gladly sign with my blood.”
- Saint Louis de Montfort
